The Triple Crown of 10k Exchanges

Hey everyone! We've reached the check-in period for the third round of Triple Crown (2022-2023). We have mailed out two check-in forms.

• Everyone who signed up for winners prizes or won a raffle has been mailed the Prize Recipient check-in.


• All prize donors have received the Prize Donor check-in.

The check-in forms will be open from September 1st to September 15th. The form is required for creators, optional for recipients.  If you can't view the check-in, or you didn't receive an email, please contact us ASAP!

1. We're just taking stock of where everyone's at right now. If you haven’t started working on your gifts yet, don’t worry – you’ve still got plenty of time! The deadline for prize delivery is 31 December 2023.


2. If you are a prize creator and have already delivered your prizes to your recipients, you don't have to check in. You can fill out the Completed Works survey instead. 


3. If you have fallen out of contact with your recipient or creator, and you are worried about the lack of communication, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at triplecrowncommittee@gmail.com.


4. Certificates were sent out to everyone who requested one in July. If you haven't received your certificate, please contact us and we'll resend it!


5. Stickers have been mailed to many recipients. There are ~9 people left whose stickers haven't been sent yet. Current ETA is by the end of September. If you would like to know more, you can email the sticker donor directly at metropolisjournal.ao3@gmail.com.


6. E-cards have been delivered to everyone who filled out the survey. E-card survey remains open through September 15th! If you'd like to know more, please see the e-cards post.


7. If you have not filled out the survey for stickers or e-cards, and would like to receive them, you can still do so! 

NOTE: this year, we've received several messages from donors and recipients about emails not being able to be delivered. This delivery issue seems to strongly affect people sending mass emails using the bcc: format, but it's also struck people sending singularly addressed emails to gmail, yahoo, and other email domains. Please be sure to check your spam folder for email(s) from the Triple Crown Committee and your donors!

If you are a raffle donor, you do not need to confirm that you've reached out to your recipient at this time. We'll ask you about your gift progress in the September check-in, but otherwise you do not need to fill out anything!

The next deadline is for recipients to contact their donors by August 31st!

Everyone Wins Prize Updates

• Certificates have been sent. If you didn't receive yours, please reach out to us!
• Stickers are in the process of being mailed. TKodami estimates that sticker mailing will be finished by the end of August.
• E-card survey is scheduled to be emailed out by August 15th. 

Welcome to the Triple Crown of Exchanges winner's circle! Triple Crown winners must meet the requirements set out in our rules here — in short, winners are folks who've posted 10k (or equivalent) works to each of the three exchanges and remain in good standing with all three exchanges.

We're including pinch hitters in the celebration again this year! To qualify for the pinch hitter raffle pool, you need to have created one pinch hit of at least 5k (or equivalent) in ONE of the exchanges.

It's time to claim prizes and enter raffles! This post serves as an overview of the process as well as a place for you to find important links. Prize and raffle ticket claiming ends at 11:59pm EDT on June 24th (countdown) and raffle tickets will be pulled in a live Discord event on July 1st, starting at 6pm EDT (countdown) (Discord invite link).

• You do not have to submit verification before you claim prizes this year.
• We will email anyone who needs to be verified after they've submitted a form.
• To claim prizes, you fill out the Prize and Raffle survey on Airtable.
• You don't have to claim any prizes you don't want or enter any raffles you're not interested in.
• You can see a full list of prizes on the Prize Listing post.
• If you aren't interested in claiming prizes, but you would like to be acknowledged on our acknowledgement post, you can fill out the Acknowledgement Only survey.

We have a small selection of prizes that all 3c winners can claim! This includes a certificate, e-card and stickers. Our generous donors have also offered a slate of prizes that will be raffled off this year! We will be using an airtable form for claiming prizes & tickets to the raffles.

If you don't want to enter any of the raffles, or claim any prizes, you can opt not to claim anything you're not interested in when you are filling out the prize survey.

Each year, we acknowledge all of the winners who have completed that round of the Triple Crown of Exchanges. By default, anyone who does not tell us they want to be acknowledged will remain anonymous. If you prefer to receive acknowledgement without claiming prizes, you can fill out the Acknowledgement Only survey. You can fill out this survey if you are a:

• 3c winner who is not claiming raffle tickets or prizes.
• Pinch hitter for any 3c event who created at least ONE of the following and is not claiming raffle tickets:
  • 1k+ or more in FIAB
  • 5k+ in FFFX
  • 10k+ in HA

If you qualify for & prefer to claim prizes, please use the Prize and Raffle Survey instead.

When you fill out a prize survey or acknowledgement survey, we will check to see if you qualify as a 3c winner or 3c pinch hitter. In our experience, most Triple Crown winners and pinch hitters will be pre-verified!

• All of your qualifying works were posted under the same username.
• All of your qualifying works are still listed under that same username.
• You are claiming your prize under that same username.
• If you received gifts in HA or FFFX, you have commented on all of your gifts in those exchanges.

• winners who posted their works under several different usernames
• winners who changed their username between exchanges
• winners who have not commented on their HA or FFFX gifts.
• pinch hitters who completed multiple pinch hits and swaps in FIAB. We may need to verify that your wordcount was for pinch hits, and not assignment earn-backs or swaps.

If you need to be verified, we will email you after you've submitted your prize form. We will request the usernames & titles of each qualifying 3c work, and we'll begin the verification process from there! If we cannot verify your 3c win or pinch hit, you will not be able to claim prizes or raffle tickets.
