Triple Crown - Prize & Raffle Ticket Claiming Open Until April 10!

Welcome to the Triple Crown of Exchanges winner's circle! Triple Crown winners must meet the requirements set out in our rules here — in short, winners are folks who've posted 10k (or equivalent) works to each of the three exchanges and remain in good standing with all three exchanges.

This year, we're also welcoming pinch hitters to the celebration! To qualify for the pinch hitter raffle pool, you need to have created one pinch hit of at least 5k (or equivalent) in ONE of the exchanges.

It's time to claim prizes and enter raffles! This post serves as an overview of the process as well as a place for you to find important links. Prize and raffle ticket claiming ends at 11:59pm EDT on April 10th (countdown) and raffle tickets will be pulled in a live Discord event on April 16th, starting at 3:00pm EDT (countdown) (Discord invite link).

Important notes

• You do not have to submit verification before you claim prizes this year. We will contact anyone who needs to be verified after they've submitted a form.
• To claim prizes, you fill out the Prize and Raffle survey on Airtable.
• You don't have to claim any prizes you don't want or enter any raffles you're not interested in.
• You can see a full list of prizes here (Prize Listing post).
• If you aren't interested in claiming prizes, but you would like to be acknowledged on our acknowledgement post, you can fill out the Acknowledgement Only survey.

Claiming Prizes

We have a small selection of prizes that all 3c winners can claim! This includes a certificate and stickers. Prize details are available on the Prize & Raffle claiming post.

If you don't want any of the 3c winners prizes but do want to enter raffles, you can opt not to receive any when you are filling out the prize survey.

Entering Raffles

Many very generous folks have donated prizes that have to be won by raffle! They include some fic, some art, some knits, and more. Details about all the raffle prizes are available on the Prize & Raffle listing post. Please browse the list before you select which raffles you want to enter. We are using one form for raffle claims for both 3c winners and qualifying pinch hitters, since many of you did both this year!

If you won 3c last year, you will notice that we're only using one prize claiming form this year. This will hopefully simplify things!

If you don't want to enter any of the raffles, you can simply opt not to claim any tickets when you are filling out the prize survey.

Acknowledgement Only Survey

Each year, we like to create a post that names & acknowledges all of the winners who have completed that round of the Triple Crown of Exchanges. This year, we plan to have a post that acknowledges our 3c pinch hitters as well! By default, anyone who does not tell us they want to be acknowledged will remain anonymous. We ask for your acknowledgement preferences on the Prize & Raffle Survey.

We had feedback from last round where some participants would have preferred to be able to receive acknowledgement without having to claim prizes. This year, we have an Acknowledgement Only Survey for:

• 3c winners who do not want to claim raffle tickets or prizes.
• Pinch hitters for any 3c event who created 1k+ or more who either don't qualify for the pinch hitter raffle, or who are not interested in claiming raffle tickets.

If you qualify for & want to claim prizes, please use the Prize and Raffle Survey instead.

Verifying wins

This year, we're trying out a different verification strategy. If you need to verify your 3c win or your qualifying 5k+ pinch hit, you will first fill out your Prize & Raffle claim survey. Then, we'll get in contact with you if we cannot pre-verify you.

Happily, most Triple Crown winners will be pre-verified. Conditions for pre-verification:

• All of your qualifying works were posted under the same username.
• All of your qualifying works are still listed under that same username and have not been anonymized.
• You are claiming your prize under that same username.
• If you received gifts in HA or FFFX, you have commented on all of your gifts in those exchanges.

If you are pre-verified, everything will go smoothly and you will not receive any verification information requests from us! If you do need to be verified, we will contact you by email after you've submitted your prize form to get the verification process rolling.

Verification is only necessary for:

• winners who posted their works under several different usernames, have anonymized their works, have changed what account their works are on, etc.
• pinch hitters who posted their 5k+ qualifying works in Fic in a Box under several different usernames
• pinch hitters who have a fairly complex FIAB claiming situation. We'll need to verify that your wordcount was for pinch hits, and not assignment earn-backs or swaps.

If we need to verify your win/pinch hit, it will be a fairly painless process that starts by us asking you for some information. We will request that you email us: each work that you used to qualify for 3c (or the pinch hitter raffle); the username (or anonymous) that you posted each work on; and we'll take it from there. The verification process is quite painless, and even shorter if it is for an alt that you publicly acknowledge.

If we cannot verify your 3c win or pinch hit, you will not be able to claim prizes or raffle tickets. Please be sure to check the email that you've given us to sign up for prizes. We will email you with verification requests or confirmation of your prize claims within 48 hours of submitting your form.
