Donations for Plushie Shipping

triplecrowncommitteeHi everyone! Plushie production has begun and the first few plushies have been shipped! So far 37/48 people have requested their plushies, and I am awed and delighted by your creativity and imagination! I can't wait to make these!
Several kind souls have inquired about donations for shipping, and I want to say, first of all, thank you so much! This project turned out to be much bigger than I ever imagined, and your support means a lot. Based on the number of people who have offered donations, I decided to cover shipping with just donations rather than require international folks to pay for their own shipping. No one HAS to pay to receive a plushie, but all donations are greatly appreciated! Regardless of the number of donations received, everyone who has requested a plushie WILL receive one.
Average costs for shipping appear to be about $4.50 for US shipping, $14 for shipping to Canada or Mexico, and $18 for shipping elsewhere. I'm estimating the total cost for shipping all plushies to be about $450.
After investigating several options, I decided to use Patreon for donations, as that provided the best level of anonymity I could find for the services I needed. The Triple Crown Plushie Patreon page is here: https://www.patreon.com/triplecrownplushies
Patreon is not really set up for one-time donations, but I did my best. You will be charged immediately upon pledging, so you can then cancel your pledge and not be charged monthly. I'd recommend waiting 24 hours before cancelling just to be sure everything processes properly, but I don't actually know that it makes a difference. I have suspended billing for June so that nobody will be charged on June 1st even if they forget to cancel, but I can only do that one month ahead of time. It's pay what you want; there are no tiers.
Please note that Patreon's fees are: 10% of the pledge plus $0.10 for donations under $3, and 7.9% plus $0.30 for donations over $3. So if you donate $1, I get $0.80; if you donate $10, I get $8.91.
I will be tracking the total amount of donations (for a breakdown of what the donations will be used for, see the Patreon page, as this post is long enough already.) I will NOT be tracking who donates money or how much. Donating will NOT affect when you receive your plushie.
I want to be as transparent as possible about this without compromising anonymity. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email triplecrownplushies@gmail.com and I will do my best to help.
